Center for Rehabilitation Outcomes Research (CROR)
The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC) has gained widespread recognition for its research in outcome studies related to measuring the impact of medical rehabilitation over the long term in patients with disabilities. The importance placed on outcome studies in medical rehabilitation has grown dramatically in recent years as clinicians and researchers have been required to find cost-effective means of providing patient care. At RIC, the Center for Rehabilitation Outcomes Research (CROR) is responsible for conducting outcomes research.
CROR Mission Statement
CROR is dedicated to excellence in measurement, health services, quality of life, and outcomes research for multiple stakeholders in the rehabilitation process, including people with disabilities, care partners, clinicians, funding agencies and policy makers. We intend to be a national leader in conducting and disseminating high-quality research that generates new knowledge and promotes innovative rehabilitative policy and practice.
CROR Vision Statement
CROR will be recognized as the premier organization for rehabilitation outcomes and measurement research. We will generate and translate knowledge that influences both rehabilitation policy and practice. CROR advances the RIC vision of creating a better future for people with disabilities.
