Prosthetics & Orthotics Clinical Center
Prostheses (artificial limbs) and orthoses (braces) are made at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago's (RIC) Prosthetics & Orthotics Clinical Center (POCC). Located on the 17th floor of RIC’s flagship hospital, our patient care and fabrication facility provides prosthetic and orthotic devices for patients with a wide range of conditions. Our facility is accredited by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC).
The “#1 Rehabilitation Hospital in America” draws patients from throughout the United States with all types of conditions. This provides us with a great deal of experience with the most difficult fittings. This level of experience, combined with our close working relationship with physicians and therapists, ensures that we will find the best solution for you, whether your needs are simple or complex.
