Professional Education Ensures Quality

What's one of the best ways to ensure clinicians deliver quality care? The answer is education - that's why education is one of the four cornerstones of our mission.

2007 Education Highlights

  • The RIC Academy, the longest running professional continuing education program in rehabilitation, has been offering courses for 35 years
  • More than 2,400 professionals attended public courses put on by the RIC Academy thi year.
  • The Ecademy continued to offer live courses over the Internet and a library of digitally recorded courses
  • More than 100 physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists took part in training with RIC clinicians this year.
  • 93% of students who attended Academy courses would recommend their courses to a professional colleague

Through the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC) Academy, our staff and thousands of other health care professionals each year are taught about the art and science of rehabilitation medicine through our classroom-based programs, Webinars and outreach services.

The RIC Academy also provides training to more than 100 college students pursuing degrees in physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech-language pathology.

Professionals who participate in our continuing education programs are consistently satisfied with the education provided by us:

RIC Academy Customers Are Satisfied & Would Recommend RIC

For 2007 courses, 97% rated their courses either "good" or "excellent." While our customer satisfaction is very high, it's worth noting that the nearly 7 out of 10 professionals who participated in an educational program offered by the RIC Academy rated their experience as "excellent."
